Lol The last 2 times Ive done it I've think theres gotta be a better way. I can reach it with the buffer but I can't wipe it off. Each time I used my California car duster w/ a micro fiber under it. What do you suggest? Maybe I just need to get a bigger step stool?

The answer is really quite simple:

Become a human cannonball. :D

If you can reach it with the buffer, try the Glass Master tool, it comes with a micro fiber pad as well, should extend your reach some.

buy a small chair/stool that can support your weight. Here in the Philippines we call it bangkito. You can actually make one yourself :D

Get a 4 foot step ladder. I'm 5'7" and with my step ladder it is no problem to reach the middle of an H2 roof. If you need any more height, you can always open the door and put a towel down to stand on. The back tire is also a good elevation point for the rear of the roof.

Find a 6'6" friend? :dunno:

Let all the air out of the tires? :p

Or you could try these.

I am 5'2" and can't reach the middle of my car roof, so I use this to wash...

And then open my car door and stand in the door to dry and wax.

^^ What he said. I'm 5'7 and have a 4' ladder with me at all times. I also have an 8'ladder that I only bring with me if I know I have an RV to do.

Much better than a ladder, best money I ever spent. They had 'em for 19 bucks on Black Friday a couple of years ago. I found myself wishing I would have bought two because I'm always leaving tools and bottles laying on it. One for each side of the vehicle is a bonus! I went back the following year on BF and they were the same price so I grabbed another. Even at the regular price it's a worthwhole investment. You'll find yourself using it for a lot more than detailing.

They're priced all over the spectrum, Lowes is the cheapest I've found.

I totally agree. That's exactly what I have and I love it. I use it all the time for all kinds of things.
