ok, i will try to use a bit more soap then. also ive heard ph neutral soaps are ok to let dry on the paint.. is this not true?

I'd try to polish them out if they aren't bad enough for touch up paint or wet sanding. There are a number of videos on youtube and I'm sure some on AG that go through the process.

One I watched before I worked on my daughter's car a couple of weeks ago was one by junkman on youtube. It's long (about 1 hr) but he goes through the process and explains thoroughly. It's long, but I'm retired and junkman is better than 99 percent of the stuff on tv.

He covers that in the video but here's what I'd try first.
Clay bar
Meguiar's M105 on orange pad
Meguiar's M205 on white pad
Meguiar's M21 Sealant by hand

Of course, if the scratches are too deep you may need go back and wet sand before polishing again. Doesn't look like you have too many.

Four peacocks (left over from an abandoned farm in which my subdivision sits) messed up a truck of mine several years ago. They also messed up a bunch of other peoples vehicles and crapped all over porches and roofs. Even ate my tomatoes. Worse, they loved to sit on the hood and top of the cab on my pickup. Put scratches everywhere. They'd seen the business end of a 12 ga. if I didn't live in the city limits.
P.S. I mentioned the Meguiar's products but there's a lot of other options. You will probably need a fairly heavy cutting polish, a finishing polish, and a sealant/wax. I use orange pads on heavy cutting polishes and white on finishing polishes.
