Mine seems to last about 6 cars? Too long or too little?
then the corners start falling apart....

Well I make it a rule to never tilt
That's just caused swirl marks and burnt edges for me

I see videos of guys having the pad fully vertical and buffing with the outside edge of it.
That's not the way to buff

Anyway you'll definately shorten lifespan of pads by tilting alot.
I just use 4 inch pads on small areas and around door handles.

The corners on my white LC pads don't seem to last to long but I used them more then 6 times.

Mine are still like new, ten cars and a big 5th wheel!

They should last if you take care of them. Take extra precaution when removing the pads from your BP. Separation of the backing is inevitable, but you can make it last a long time with proper procedures. This is also why I like my 7.5" LC pads, the velcro backing is pretty much molded into the pad, making it impossible to seperate.... a few of my pads are 2+ years old... still going strong.

I cant get my low profile white pad to die, I use mine for our AIO and I would venture to say I have done 30+ cars with it. The orange low pro pads are indestructible, I had one pad I had used on over 70 cars.

Cannot speak on durability, have only used my white CCS pad once.
