just as the title ask.

how many carpets have you come across that were bad enough to justify removing the carpet from the car and pressure washing?

3 for me.

1 - 1995 chevy s-10 that was a farmers truck. manure packed into the carpet to the point it was like a rock.

2 - 1998 Pontiac Firebird with a case of cold, case of beer and case of grape soda left in the carpet

3 - 1997 Subaru that appeared to have a sand storm and salt block ground into the carpet.

digging around for the photos

NOT A SINGLE ONE!

Removing the carpets from a vehicle is way more than a pain in the butt!

The only way I would remove one is if I were replacing it with a new one and I would intentionally price it accordingly so I did not have to "clean" the old one...

I have no problems getting carpets cleaned up and looking great with just an extractor a brush to work in the solution and some solution... the other down side to removing a vehicle's carpet is there are now so many electronics under sections of the carpeting you can majorly mess up some stuff it you don't replace it perfectly...

I can't remember exactly. I do know some can be a pain in the neck...seems the newer they are the easier they are though, less panels and accesories to undo. I have done them for many reasons, everything from just plain old dirty and disgussting, to major smoke/fire damage...even had to take one out af an Integra because the girl who owned it was hooked on drinking living algae...ewe, needless to say, she spilled some. A guy has to do what a guy has to do in this bussiness!

I quit reading after "manure"

Laughing too hard to breath.
