How many of you detail inside the fuel door?⛽️

Most of the time I always have a steam cleaner out for any particular reason. With that said, I always hit it up with my steam cleaner every time I have an exterior detail.
 
Always. Clean, dry, plastic dress the cap. Done.


Like door jams for me. It's always noticed by the customer.
 
I clean the fuel door and compartment unless I can figure out how to open it. Which has happened more than a few times.
 
Always. It gets opened and washed, then opened and blown dry.

Wife's Jeep doesn't have a door (Wrangler), so I never have to worry about that. Lol
 
This is starting to sound like kids lining up and promising they eat their vegetables.lol.
Can anyone walk to their vehicle and take a picture of the so called clean innards of the fuel door? This thread needs some pics.

i never let the dealership wash my car, but i noticed that even they will pop the fuel door and wipe it dry, so i can too. LULs
 
What about the cruft that collects around the extreme edge of the windshield? Magic Eraser plus water spot remover is what I usually hit it with. Ours are still not perfected yet. When I buff and polish the windshield I don't buff all the way to the edge because I'm too lazy to mask it off, LOL.
 
Definitely do it. I think just about everyone pumps there own gas nowadays, and it's a nice surprise when they pop it open and it's clean. It's a spot they're definitely going to notice (maybe not right away).
 
The gas hole gets done every single time, whether my personal ride, the Wife’s Beast, family member or paying customer.
