How many of you find yourselves....

I actually have my wife and kids doing it now. My oldest sons asks me if I want him to talk to the owner about his ugly car! He is only 6. I laugh my tail off overtime! One of these days I am going to step back and watch him talk to someone.

I do this as well. :)

I like to admire how the sun hits it or how it reflects and object. Im surpised I havnt run into anything as I will almost walk backwards lol.

I've tripped over a curb before.

I love how honest kids are....its hilarious!!

This can backfire btw...

I was walking back to my car with my girlfriend, and I telling her how jacked this car parked next to me was. Well, the guy was in his car, and heard me!

Nothing to bad, but he did tell me to F-off....

I catch myself thinking "ow, clearcoat failure", "clean but swirled", "not to bad- Menz 106 wold fix it right up" as I observe cars on my walks. It's goes with the obsession I guess.

99% of the cars I see on the street or in the parking lot need a good pressure washing and soaking with a foam gun or foam cannon first.

I do it ALL the time. I just like looking to see what other people are doing. In a perfect world, I'll get some DA practice in this spring/summer and eventually warm up to doing other peoples' cars. The business on my block alone would be astounding. I live in the city, so everything's street-parked. I think the mentality of most living in the city is that, "it's going to get bumped/scratched/stolen anyway, so why bother?", but there are a lot of black German cars on my block that are in dire need of a polish.

its getting to the point I can't go to classic car shows or auto shows and enjoy myself anymore. Classic Cars I really don't understand how you can invest so much time and money and have a swirled up car. Doesnt help when the owner uses quick detailer and a dirty rag in the sun on a dusty car/

I do it ALL the time. I not only look, but sometimes I HAVE to touch and feel the paint surface to see if it's waxed or clayed.

Stupid I know...

Here's a follow-up...not trying to jack the thread...but how many people, when walking away from their car, look back and say "dang my car looks GOOD!!!"

Always, but I try to stay a few feet away just in case I notice a new mark that I don't want to see yet :).

On a side note I have noticed that store parking lots have the best swirl lighting. Stuff I cannot see in the sun jumps out underneath the parking lights at my local grocery store.

I know right? Can't see it anywhere else but once ur in the parking lot at night it all comes out.

Thanks for starting this thread...... i knew i wasnt the only one lol, my girlfriend if kinda getting sick of me pointing out to her how messed up everyone elses cars are... but then we saw an infinity g35 with some HORRIBLE orange peel, she offered to pass him one of my cards on the George Washington bridge and say.. "you know.... he can fix that mess you got going in here" lmao
