My wife pats me on the head as she says, 'that's nice honey', then proceeds to look at the shoe websites with her computer.

My wife gave up a long time ago. Wine making and now detailing. She reaps the rewards with both of them so she doesn't complain much.

Keep making the wine. She'll be too drunk to notice how much money you've been spending on detailing. LOL
 
I have to say life has been kind to me. The wife is an incredibly understanding person.

Just a few days ago, I commented about a new power plant instead of buying another car. It went like this:

Me - Hey, I was thinking when the motor goes, I'm going to slap in a Cosworth.

Wife - What's that?

Me - That's the name of the manufacturer. *showed wife long block & price*

Wife - Wow, that's expensive.

Me - I know, but it's quality components & workmanship. The way I see it it's like having a new car, but a lot cheaper than buying new. Besides, I don't want to gamble on a used car and deal with the hassle of parking, insuring, registration, smog, and all that.

wife - Yeah, that makes sense.

I agree. Every so often when my wife tells me stuff when I have clients cars to work on, ill say something like "dont you have dishes or clothes to wash?" That night she wont wash my MF towels, and me and the couch become best friends again.
 
mine encourages me, she loves that her car is always clean now, and recently commented she was impressed with the DIY Bucket Dolley
 
Mine just tells me she will call another detailer to the house to clean the car if I don't get to it.....

Mine has been asking for her car to washed.....for several weeks.....I tell her put it on the "list"........

this past weekend she says will you PLEASE wash my car....and I replied yes ...just put it on the "list"

(Guys I work out of town right now...I'm home 1.5 days maybe 2 days a week)

During the superbowl she says...."you have time for football but you never have time for my car what gives?)

I told her I'm just working off your list.......here is Sundays List.

Play with your dog...he misses you
cut some firewood
fix shade in bedroom
clean litter box
cut onion for dinner
call your Mother
repack your suitcase
set alarm
Superbowl Party at 5pm be ready
Wash my car


Ok so I work off the list I'm ready for the party.....she says You Didn't wash my car!



my reply "honey if you want your car washed.....quit putting it at the bottom of the list...there is just so many hours of daylight to get that done! :doh:
 
My wife is pretty cool about it, she knows I love it and she likes the money from it.

The only issue she has about it is the time I spend on the forums. Its not all of play on here though, theres a rhyme and reason to it.
