How many tape raised body line while using DA?

Mike thanks so much. I would like to get this kit:

3M Masking Tape, Scotch Masking Tapes, 3M green masking tape, auto masking tape

But it has some negative reviews about how the adhesive comes off from under the tape and smears the paint. Have you used this tape and had this experience. Looks like a cool 3 size kit.:xyxthumbs:

That can happen with all tape.


Reviews are great but then there's also the practical side, you're either going to tape-off or not.

That's why I de-tape before the last machine polishing step or the machine waxing step, (depends upon the process and tools being used), then when I do the last machine polishing step and/or the machine waxing step I let the pad and the product loosen and remove any tape residue or the "polish residue line".

Next you'll find someone that will ask,

Won't the tape residue or the polish reside mix in with the step you're doing?


Hey... at some point you just have to get the job done. You can make detailing your car as complicated as you want that's up to you. I aim for perfection but I don't focus on the minutia...
