How much product?

Ok, I've read all the different description and ways of applying polish, a nickel or quarter size drop in the middle of the pad, an "X" across the pad, a bead around the outside edge... I'm wondering, using the "correct" amount of polish, how many vehicles can one expect to get done with say a 16 oz bottle of XMT 360?

It depends on the area you're working, pad being used, polish being used, etc.

On an average size car - XMT 360 - full coverage of the car (not spot treatment) - 5.5 low profile oragen pad...

Not looking for anything exact, just a general idea.

Should a bottle be enough for 1 car? 2 or 3? 5 - 10?

I do three small single fingers to prime the pad. Then most panels only need two smaller fingers. I guess around 2 1/2 - 3 inches each on large pads.

Depends. For SSR2.5 and SSR1, I do about 8-10 blobs on the pad.

What do you mean "fingers"? Is that spots the size of the end of your finger, lines the length of your finger . . . everything you can squeeze out of the bottle using only three fingers ?

I'm not familiar with that term.

Great . . . thanks for the tip. I actually think one of the keys to successful use of the P/C DA is knowing how much product . . . and I'm still learning that, but getting better each time I use it.
