how much time do you spend on washing,wax car?

Timed myself yesterday. 37 minutes for a 2 bucket rinseless w&g included wheels,tires, barrels and wheel wells. (blew dry with leaf blower and wiped all jambs, under hood and trunk.

Then 92 minutes to bare hand apply wax and remove. (hey that Challenger is big)
So a little over 2 hours.

There are many variables as another poster said.

Yesterday I ONR Wash n Waxed my 350z, including the tire/rims (not barrels and just a little on the wells) in about 20 minutes or so. I do it in my garage, out of the sun and I don't do just one panel at a time. That is a complete waste of time if your car just has primarily only dust on it. I wash all the glass, the pillars, and the roof (so the whole top half of the vehicle) and then dry it. Lots of times I'll include the hood in that. Then I do a side and the rear bumper, then the other side, and almost always do the front bumper last. My front bumper is in terrible shape, the whole thing is extremely rough from rocks, bugs (wasn't always an AutoGeeker), and someone backed up into me once and marred it up. You can't even tell really though, because the paint was so bad to begin with there.

I was gonna post similar. Once the car is opti coated I can just onr the things in like 20-30 mins tops. The wheels on our cars are not open enough to clean barrels and every little detail. Not having to wax or seal is a time saver. ONR in the garage out of any sun is great even on my wife's black toyota for no spots. It's not a contest but there is certain ways to save time. The coating really did that

On average it takes me an hour to do a wash. If I need to wax it then it's at least an other hour. I think 3 hours do to a full exterior detail is pretty spot on. If you want to do the job rights there are so many steps and you want to be careful doing all of them.

Some of you guys doing this as a business really need to invest in Opti-Seal or applying wax or sealant via DA. I rarely spend more than 10-20 minutes applying/removing LSP.

I cleaned a friends Corolla S yesterday and it took me 3 and 1/2 hours. It was really really dirty. I did the interior and exterior. One bucket method with a Grit Guard and various brushes (my second bucket is MIA.) The wheels were really bad, but Mequiars Wheel Brightener and the Daytona Brush makes short work of any neglected wheel. The interior was also covered in dog hair. The worst thing about this job, is that it was a freebi to a friend. Like everyone else, I find it relaxing though.
