Say you go m105 and possibly follow with 205? And what pads do you rec for use with a gg I have ubers lc flat cutting and tangerine ht and i believe red

It depends on steps, how long, lsp applied and etc. You don't always want to start with m105. It is a strong compound and is not always needed. Always try the least aggresive posssible.

I like the LC flat pads.

I charge depending on the job. But generally it's $50-100. $50 for fixing a few scuffs around the vehicle. $100 for 105/205 over the whole car. Bigger vehicles, the price goes up.

Sometimes people are just interested in fixing the scuffs. Or if I cant sell them on that, then I offer a 1 step over the whole car for the same price. People tend to appreciate that and go for it.

I use LC pads. I have a lot of different ones but I tend to use the yellow, orange, and white the most with my GG. Does a great job

^^^ I agree with loudog. It is such a broad question your asking. Your going to get tons of answers.

Customer is going to repaint the vehicle, I told him he'd be surprised how far I can restore it, it's really not that bad, some scratches and a ton of swirls, some rock chips, I'm going over tomorrow and am going to show them a test spot

That sounds really cheap - unless you're talking about hourly rates. I've paid guys over $50/hr for paint correction prior to getting into detailing myself. I'm thinking for a beginner to paint correction $30/Hr is about right for both the detailer and the customer.

It all depends on how much correction is needed. In your test area you should go with the least aggressive method. Typically just polish with a polishing pad and work from there. If I have to wash the vehicle the price starts at $150 for a small car. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I wanted general information, but a pressing matter is this vehicle, it's a 10+ year old Honda accord, that's a picture of the hood, I was going to try m205 before 105 but don't think it will be heavy enough, only other two compounds I hve on hand are v34 and megs ultimate

If I were to use 105/205 method, I would start out at $100 for a mid size car.

That's what my market seems to accept.

$100-150 whatt....? you guys serious? for that price usually all the shops do is put in some holograms.

Are you washing, claying, and deironing the car too? What about LSP?

Hell, just the polishing alone, especially two steps can range between 15-25 hours EASY. How are you making any profit charging $100? I just don't get it.

That's what my market seems to bring. I'm in wichita KS. Most of my clients are not even interested in paint correction lol

That's 100 on top of a regular detail. I should have mentioned that.

2 more, not as good of pictures

Honda paint should correct very easily....so that's a plus.

FWIW for a regular polish and lsp i charge $120 for compacts $160 for sedans/large cars and $240 for trucks/suvs. For anything beyond that is a custom quote based on the vehicle. Say for example if they have a compact car and they want a full correction I estimate (at $20/hour) that another step will take me around 7 or so hours so I charge them a extra $140 making the total $260. It makes things a lot easier on yourself if you know what you want to make per hour and then giving a quote based on the number of hours times your rate. Hope that helps.

I charge about $25-30 an hour for most corrections I do. Most ppl in my market dont want full corrections if any at all.

Wow, this seems like a very low price....$100, that usually my starting price for 1step polish for small cars. I don't even offer 2+ steps, that's just too much work for me(I am too lazy). But if you ask me, I prob. will set two steps starting at $200.

I am also in a very small town in Texas. I offer cheaper wash/clay/wax job. but as for paint correction, don't want to reduce the price a dime. Whoever looks for paint correction won't mind pay a bit more. That's my theory, and I want to earn the amount worth my labor
