I am about to start applying coatings, but I try to get 40-50 per hr before coating for a full correction. So anywhere between 6-12 hrs depending on vehicle. Plus 3-500 for coating depending on vehicle

What kind of vehicle? Also, do a test spot to make sure you can get 85-90% on that older paint. Without knowing all of the details, I'd say $750 is a reasonable price. I would prob charge a little more, but that's because I'd break it up over 2 days.

My price starts at $1k for a 2 step and on black it's about $1400. I never promise anything till you see it and do a test spot. It could be a single stage paint.

550.00-650.00 Give or take, depending on size of truck.

That's highway robbery:eek:

Especially for the Seattle, Washington area

One step and a coating for me is about $400 and really only new cars or MC's are getting them. another step, another $200 or so. Obviously depending on vehicle size.

Not really. We don't know what his target cliental is. I've heard of guys in Southern California charging about this much.

Not sure what your taking about? Not sure what your charging but when your putting in 15-20 hours of work That's About 66hr. So before you open your mouth make sure you know what your talking about. This is why I don't post here much anymore.

My prices start @ $600 for a compact car with my lower level coating and start @ $900 for a compact with CQuartz Finest. This only includes a polish, so if additional correction is needed it jumps up at least another $200.

What do you mean? Do you pay less for a new car in Seattle than LA?

How about housing? Is it cheaper than in Tennessee?

Do you even understand what it takes to correct an old and black car?

We'd be at $1100 for a 2-step correction and our basic ceramic coating on a full size car... $1300 for a 2-step with our professional grade coating.

There is an incredible amount of time and work that goes into these jobs that many people undervalue. Stating that this is "robbery" just indicates we're either doing completely different types of services (from a time perspective), or someone is not charging nearly enough for their hard work.

Consider taking your vehicle to a dealership for a repair. If they have invested 15+ hours of labor into fixing your car, do you think it will cost you just a couple hundred bucks? Detailing is no different - the customer pays for the labor and the knowledge that their detailer should posses to do the job better than anyone else can. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is very true in the service industry for the most part.
