Hey guys. Couple questions...

How often do you clay ur daily?
Do u clay it at every wash?
Do u do it at every polish / wax?
Does claying remove the glaze / polish / wax / sealant?
If so I'm guessing u must reapply after every claying?

Anytime I clay I see if there are any swirls or significant scratches before I decide to polish, I do it about every 4 or 6 months my car is parked outside basically 24/7 so I just try to maintain it since there is so much rain and debri from trees. Then I follow up with a polish if needed, most of the time it isn't, regardless I always seal my paint after clay. IMO I feel that it does strip whatever was previously left being since it's "strong" enough to deconminate your car. On Sunday if the weather is good I'm going to claying, polishing and sealing my DD

I do it whenever I wipe a baggie on my paint and it feels rough.

Clay should remove wax or glaze. Sealant on the other hand is a highly debatable subject.

Whenever I wax or polish. On my car could be once a month or every two. On my mom and dad's cars I try to do it once every three months and then upkeep in between but not always enough time

I probably clay about 3x a year and I do not clay every time I wax. However, I do clay every time I polish.

Anytime I have to polish my cars.
I guess I clay 2-3 times per year.

Do the baggie test after a wash , you'll know for sure if it's needed.

Every wash? No! lol

Clay when you feel like the paint needs it, do the baggy test. In my experience, horizontal panels need claying way before the vertical panels so you might be able to get away with only claying the horizontal panels every other time you clay the vehicle.

Always clay before polishing just to be safe. And yes clay will remove your sealant/wax so reapply afterward.

I meant after a wash, not every wash.
I think it's important to clay 3 times per year if it's a DD.
My drive is an hour one way to work on an interstate, I pick up lots of crap as would imagine, I hate the idea of contaminants sitting on my finish even for a short time.

I never clay...but I do use a nanoskin speedy prep towel...soooo much easier and effective....

Once every 6 months to 1 year, I will wash, clay and polish and seal with megs ultimate liquid wax. After that I wash once a week.

I just clayed 5 minutes ago,not really a way to determine how often lol. However, Clay when you can see or feel rough spots along the car. I like to clay and then add wax right after which gives the best protection possible

I priced one today here, wow they're not cheap.
Is it worth that much money ?

Soon I'll do a few bikes once I get better and thought this would be great working in tight areas.
All three bikes are Harley's, I'm ready to take them on soon as I can:dblthumb2:

2-3 times per year. Whenever I'm going to Polish usually. Spring and fall. Occasionally if I'm switching wax brands.

If you polish after u clay then you should re seal the paint as the polishing will remove it.:urtheman:

I just got 2 Nanoskin Mits and some of there sponges with Nanoskin on them. i used them 2 times since Sema and boy i have been missing out. IF you want to make life easier this stuff is the BOMB! It works great and will last longer than clay bars. Wouldn't look back at clay unless im helping my friends do their cars lol. Cheap guys. they will get to use the clay bars i have. :bash::poke:

Just last night I looked at the sponge.
Great price I thought, how well does it work compared to "Clay"?

Never. I always want to. I think I wash my cars too much, because nothing sticks.

I think twice a year with a mild clay just before using a good cleaner wax or finishing polish works well.

Once a month to remove containment but my car is outside year around. Or before applying Polish is my understanding.
