I purchased a few bottles of Aquawax and I want to know how often to use it? I use NXT wax monthly so this would be a booster for that. Thanks in advance. :awesome:

I use my Aquawax monthly, but it's a booster for a bi-annual application of DG 101 and DG 105. I guess if you felt a need to do something between monthly waxing, you could use the Aquawax weekly or bimonthly, as desired.

use it after every wash...works best with DG #105 sealant...Duragloss #105 is much better then NXT wax, cost cheaper, lasts longer, shines better.

DG recommends against using it more than once or twice a month. It will cause buildup and actually be detrimental to the appearance.

AW is a sealant so to much will cause cloudy appearance

I have read AW can cloud, like what detailgod has said, if used too much. blk45 pretty much also explained why you shouldn't use it too often :p

Never seen any AW build up. It's a nice booster spray wax, but I've never seen for it to last longer then 'till the next wash.

Thank you everyone who replied! I think I'll start with a bi-weekly application and see how things go from there. :autowash:

I've currently been using it weekly, but I can't tell is I'm getting a build up problem. My cars is black so I see EVERYTHING anyway.
I have a little "off topic" question. I apply a layer of AW, would following up with DG521 to add some anti-static and touchup be strong enough to remove the layer of AW?

Why don't you put one or two ounces of AW in 10 ounces of DG521 and use it weekly....works for me...

Really? I hadn't thought about that. I figured 521 would diminish the AW.

Hmm I'm going 1 month on a layer now:righton: , washed week and half ago or so and qd' with FCS, think its going to rain today so I'll get pics of the beading. Crazy part is the car is still clean, AW really sheds dirt when it rains.

Mike...I had heard of putting AW in DG521 before so I called the factory and spoke to Jerry the owner who is a chemist. AW was originally made to be sprayed on a wet car after washing it and dried with a towel / MF cloth. AW full strength should be used apx once a month. When I asked about AW in DG521 he said no problem..a ratio of 1 to 10 is sufficent, this way using a detailer once a week you still get some AW on the car. Hope this helped...

Duragloss Fast clean and shine after the washing, and AquaWax once a month to boost some protection....

:iagree: , I've had no trouble with the durbaility of AW lasting till the next wash. Heck I posted the pictures on here to prove it and that was just AW right after I stripped, and its been raining 24/7 here.

:whs: Yep, anytime you have a DG question, just call and talk to Jerry. He is very helpful and knows the products best!

I use it after I qd my car, which is usueally three to for times a week. It has to be the easist spray wax I've used.

I was previously using AW about bi-weekly and as a result saw muted color tones and muted flakes on metallic paints...slight cloudiness but more muted/darkened colors...

Since I switched to only using monthly colors are back to being bright/vibrant and flakes are blinging.

In short AW = once a month

I've seen AW build up from over application. So, once a month for me.
