How often to use Aquawax

yes ..it will build up if used straight on dry paint...it was primarily made to use on a wet car....When I told them I was using on dry paint they said use monthly then since its very concentrated....then I cut 921 with AW 2 oz to 20 oz of 921 I use that weekly and works out fine...now I cut the Marine detailer and works much better...adds a little sealant and also cleans up the paint nice..very slick and glossy

Al, are you cutting the Marine Detailer? If so , with what. I've been using the Marine Detailer after washing and AW once a month.

I use it once a month if that, but primarily, I use AW to prime my pads with when applying LSP...

I wouldn't say that AW can build up. The stuff looks good, works great but I cannot say it lasts for a very long time. By the next wash, most of it will have already worn off.

Obviously people are getting different results. I had a car two weekends ago that hadn't been waxed in over a year. There was absolutely no beading whatsoever. Washed and clayed the car and the customer's schedule changed abruptly. I decided to spray on some Aquawax while drying the car to give it a little protection. Needless to say, he didn't make it back this weekend either. I saw the car this morning and it's still beading nicely. It has rained here pretty much every day and against my recommendation, he ran it through a touchless wash. That was with the AW being applied on a wet car, so it seems to be pretty durable. At least for me. YMMV

Also for me it seems to get a deeper gloss as time goes on...........

Don't get me wrong, I love the stuff, and it looks absolutely great. I just don't know if it's my layer of wax doing the beading or if it's truely the AW...

When the hood was repainted on my wife's Explorer, I didn't seal or wax it for obvious reasons. I just quick detailed it with some Poorboys S&W and it beaded for weeks...

I cut the MArine Detailer with AW....1oz to 10oz of 521.....it just gives a little added boost...

AW works best on a sealant...it even states it will bond to a durable Polish (sealant) ..DG calls sealants polish....polymers will crosslink to another polymer ..but a wax does not cross link..it just sorta floats on either a sealant or paint ....it will not crosslink meaning hook in to the exsisting polymers...so AW on wax will not last as long on wax as it would on a polymer sealant....

Check my pics on here I posted few weeks ago, that was just AW on a stripped surface, now its been 4 weeks or so and still beading nicely. I'll try to get pics tomorrow for update. My truck is white also, love the look AW gives on it, stuff is so slick as well.
