I use spray wax but I notice in spots there will be left over residue. Whats the best way to keep that to a minimum?

If you like spray products I'd check out WG Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. While its a WOWA sealant, on a black car I find a quick follow up wipe is required. However, after that, its crystal clear.

You are using too much most likely. Same with waxes & sealants. I spray very fine mist and spread it out. I always go over with a dry rag as well.

+1 to SickTRed08FSI post you are using to much you need s finer spray pattern

What spray wax are you using? I've never had any leftover residue from a spray wax, and I'm positive I use too much to do a car lol

Oh, something I forgot to mention....where are you located?

If it is really cold out, you will have an even harder time removing QD`s & LSP`s.

I use the Megs Ultimate wax.

Never used it unfortunately, but when I'm using a spray wax I'll have two towels. One to wipe off the majority and another to follow immediately to buff and dry completely. I've normally got them in both hands and just go through the car after I've sprayed the car down.

I haven't had good luck with spray waxes. I get streaks and residue also, regardless of temp. Have had much better luck with polymer spray. I use BF wet diamond polymer spray and never had any problems with streaking or residue. I use after each wash (on top of BFWD and Crystal Seal as my sealants).
