Swirl marks on a silverstone metallic paint. I've tried everything and I haven been able to see any. But I am sure after a year and half of owner ship there should be some. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

honestly, IMO, if you cant see the swirls, be happy and dont worry about it. If you want to polish to add shine or depth, go for it. I wish i couldnt find swirls in my paint.

I polished it once before with pc and the Wolfgang twins I just a one scratch on the trunk and I got it out but now I just can't see any. Maybe your right if I can't see them don't worry about it.

I've had good luck on light colored cars such as silver, white, etc using a halogen light in a dark garage. I put the light at the front of the car pointing towards the front and then stand at the back end and look down the side. Usually this works for me. I find that looking at the sun or direct light in the paint I don't see much. But with the light not shining directly into the area I'm looking at I see more.

Light colored paint you have to get kind of creative when it comes to the lighting. Certain lights you won't see anything and then other lights at different angles you see everything.

Yeah I know it's killing me to know that I have swirls and I can't see them. But anyway what halogen lights did you use just out of curiosity. Thanks everyone for all the responses.

Dude, if you can't see the swirls in the sun, then don't worry about it. Swirls aren't damaging to the paint. You're freaking out man lol.

You don't have to polish every car! If you can't see the swirls, and the customer can't see them, just a wash and wax (or paint sealant if you offered that to the customer).

If you really want to see hard to find swirls you need either the sun, a swirl finder light, some other "point source" bright light or even the harsh fluorescent lights in a gas station.
