Basically the divisions you have made are separating direct drive or tools with forced rotation and oscillation from tools with non-forced rotation and oscillation.

I think that such a classification is justified, it has a hard dependency and does not confuse the consumer.
Machines all act as polishing with a greater or lesser efficiency and quality.
