Hey guys I forgot to post these pics in my last post about getting ready for corvette show.
I just want to know the best and safest way to clean the yellowing on these rotors.
also want to know if you think im getting carried away with myself for wanting to clean these rotors up? lol
Its just that i am going to show and don't want to leave any stone un turned.

Ditto what Octpiston said....

Do some very light braking on way to show---should be ok by then.

Tom

Brake pads will clean that off the first time you use them.

But then you will get rust colored dust on your clean wheels.

After washing your wheels, blow dry your calipers and rotors for a rust free finish.

At this point I would use a waterless wash to clean the wheels up once at the show.

I am wondering if i can use some
iron x for now to get them clean
I wouldn't, unless I was going to
pull the tire/wheel assemblies.

And then...unless they are going
to remain completely moisture free,
(and also have a rust inhibitor applied
on them until the Car Show): they're
going to (surface)rust, right back up again.

for the show.
When exactly is this Car Show
going to take place?

Are you going to drive it the Show?
If so...How far of a drive is it?

Bob

Yep, a sign of not driving is all. They'll clean right up in 4 blocks of driving.

I cannot tell you of how many regrets in my life, of owning classics, and they sadly wasted away in my garage collecting dust. I primped and pawed over them, just so somebody else could enjoy them.

Life is short. Drive em like you stole them.

This x100. I don't have a classic car, but most of my car friends drive a POS or some basic car as a daily driver. They then use the "nice car" for 2k miles a year lol. I drive my scatpack charger sun, rain or snow as my daily and enjoy it.

Also please don't do anything do your rotors, I knew a guy who actually painted the rotors and drums of his car.
