How to clean weather tech floor mats?

So I know I should know how to clean these but I have a truck and they get muddy, so when I clean them they do not look that clean? How do yall get them looking new again? Thanks - Brian
 
I spray mine with APC and then use my soap bucket for my wheels and use a tire brush to scrub them. Seems to work OK. I've also wiped them down with CG's Innerclean when they're not that dirty.
 
Pic + scrub with apc. Degreaser if really bad. Pressure washer thrown in the mix if the color is different than it is supposed to be heh.
 
Are you referring to when they begin to fade a bit? Mine are almost 5 years old and around the 3 year mark I noticed the drivers side wouldn't "bead" water after I cleaned it. The passenger mat would. I assume from not being beat up as much. The driver's mat still looks black, just gets more wear than the passenger.
As far as cleaning them, wet them....scrub with soap or APC and rinse. I stand them up in the garage to dry and then put 'em, back to work. They are easily the best protective mats I've ever owned.
 
Clean them with APC, them maybe use something like dLux for long term protection?

Mine don't get as dirty as some of yours.
But when I'm in the mood to clean my floorliners, I throw them in the shower and scrub them down using WeatherTech's official TechCare floorliners & floormat cleaner.
Then brush on some of TechCare protector.

After all that, ten minutes after the kids climb into the car, the floorliners are once again dirty, ha. But they had their few minutes of cleanliness.
 
When I have the time, APC with my trim brush to scrub them.

Tried ONR for a quick wipe down when doing the wifes interior today. Using a MF it worked very well.

Hmmm.... maybe you could put the mats AND the kids in the shower! You know, multitask!:laughing:
 
i use meguiars apc and a brush when necessary. then rinse clean. no oil based or slick protectants, one if in a truck you can slip climbing in and two the protectant can get transferred from the liner to the pedals from your feet...if your foot slides off the pedal at the wrong time it could be really bad.

lol. I use the shower technique in the winter.
But in the summer, the floor liners get washed on the driveway. Then the kids and everyone gets hosed down. Even the dog.

take them to the local "do it yourself" coin spray wash and they usually have clips on the wall. You can put your mats in the clips and use the high pressure gun to clean them. I don't top them with anything as it usually just makes them super slick.
 
The best way to clean them is to spray apc dry on them especially if there color coded ,and blast off with a pressure washer,what you are doing is essentially etching the top layer of the color,they may look a little white but don't panic spray a non slippery protectant on them,let it absorb for 10 min then dry up any residual conditioner and they come out perfect,and there's no backbreaking work.
