Any tips on removing those ugly orange/tan haze from compound drying on the gelcoat. I hate them! It looks like oxidation but its not. I usually have no Choice but to work out side in the humid sunny weather( following the shade best I can). Once it's on there it's pretty much glued to the surface, QD, wax/cleaner wax ect won't remove it. The only way to remove it is hitting it with compound again , wiping residue off quickly. Even then there's a chance for it to happen again. Happens on old and newer gelcoat( slightly less one newer). There any prewax cleaner ,pad conditioner spay/detail mist/finesse that will remove that compond/polishing residue. Tools I use are rotary/ with wool pad, big white rubbing compound and paste wax. I tried a pure oil polish it most the time dries to quickly in the conditions I work.
