What's the most effective way to get dried wax out of cracks?

I wasn't knowledgeable at applying wax when I first started and now I have lots of buildup :(

A cheap 1" paint brush works great, you can cut it down to 3/8 or 1/2 an inch long. I cut one at an angle also to get in real tight spots.

The very reason I won't use anything but WOWA sealants now, no wax crap ever again!

wonder why AG doesnt carry them any more?! I bought a 25 pack from them a while back.

try a google search and you will see other online stores that sell them. i cant post the links on here

I was going to say toilet paper but that just would be right.....

Any idea where I can find these razor blades? They're not available on AG. I found that these work very well on removing decals and old pinstripes as well

eBay: plastic razor blades. They are dirt cheap for a huge pack of 'em.

:iagree:

Or a old credit card works. Learned that tip from Todd Helme.

I'll do this first as I have this on hand, and then move on to the other suggestions if I'm still having tight spots I can't reach.

Thanks everyone!

I just used Meguiars body solvent and then scrubbed with a toothbrush. I wiped it up with a terry cloth towel and the results were spectacular!

I found some plastic razor blades from various suppliers on Amazon.

I use wooden shish kabob sticks that you buy at the grocery store. Much stronger than tooth picks, easy to control and you can sharpen/shape the end to suit your needs.

Use a soft bristle tooth brush. That will fix any build up. Make sure to use a spray wax and then use the tooth brush for built up wax. The spray wax will help lubricate the brush.

I bought a megs detailing brush made just for this in an auto store. It's brown and has three different kinds of stiff bristles on it. It's VERY effective. No matter where the wax has been stuck one of the bristles has gotten it out easily. Especially those little stubby ones.

Here it is:
