That 2012 stuff....what's supposedly gonna happen anyway? I remember one of my past professors said something about the ocean rising and the continents are gonna become smaller. Really scary

i get around 17-18 in the stang..and bout 25 on the high way with 3.73 gears....rpms are pretty high up there even around 65 mph..almost 2900
Yup 3.73 and highway speeds I'm around 2900 at 65-70 mph and it kills gas. Also making more power across the RPM range will help the engine work less to move your vehicle.
3. Only fill up half a tank. Each gallon of gas weighs 6-8lbs.
Not good advise imo intank fuel pumps rely on gas to cool them down. By leaving the tank halfway full you are making the fuel pump stay hotter and shorting it's life span.
1. Reduce the weight of your car
2. Dont put on huge rims
This is great advise, a lot of people don't take into account how much power it takes to move 20+ rims (inertia weight [and stopping them]) and how much harder the drivetrain down to the wheel studs.

well thats not always true. Alot of wheels in larger sizes are only offered in forged wheels. Alot of those actually weigh less than factory wheels even though stronger as cut from one to three pieces of aluminum. Unsprung weight can also be removed. Dymag is currently offering a wheel made of carbon fiber and magnesium that is 14 pounds lighter per wheel. OUCH , talk about a diet.

Agree. On my last suv, I had it slightly lowered on 20" Weld wheels (Forged Evo line). They were much lighter then the stock chrome wheels, and the truck drove, handled, braked better then stock and noticed an increase in mileage if driven easy. However the truck had some nice goodies :D...so I was always on the loud pedal lol.

Now if your talking some bling bling 24" chrome wheels....that's another story...
