How to prevent door dings

Maybe this is an extra large shipment from Autogeek? We all know how well their stuff is packaged for shipment. Them is big peanuts alright!
 
Is shipping cost based on order dollars or size/weight?
 
It looks like a flotation device.
 
My guess is this guy is fed up with his coworkers putting dings in his car and is making a statement. I just got a new car this summer and started parking a few blocks away from work. My old car looked like I went driving in a war zone with all the dings in the sides, all from coworkers.
 
Cool pic! I bought door shox for my car and they are great and prevent door dings in lots. They take 10 seconds to put on and take them off. Great product.

That's one of the reasons I decided to sell my 1974 260Z and switch to a lifted 1975 GMC Jimmy... no more door dings or fender dings...

I wish I had those when my old roommate decided to bounce his Fat Boy off the side of my car. That's funny Dwayne.
