I have searched for some suggestions & information on how to properly do a 50/50 wipe down with no luck. I have a NBP acura and it's just been freshly clayed, compounded, & polished and I'm a little hesitant to just go right at it with a micro fiber and the 50/50 mixture. Is there a particular good way to do this without marring or introducing new scratches into the paint?

The purpose is to clean up the remnants of the M105 dust and to prepare the surface for Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant.

You are following M105 with an LSP? Might think about M205 first.

If you are removing polishing dust I would Recomend washing.

The thread I posted above goes into great detail about inspecting paint, the options and how to's.

Ok, I wasn't sure if you were doing it for inspection purposes. A lot of people don't like IPA for prep, they would suggest doing a wash, perhaps with an APC like OPC, or use one of the specific prep products like Griot's Paint Prep or Eraser.

I have already polished with M205. The M205 left hardly any dust, the M105 particulates are terrible though. They cling to the paints surface.

The IPA is for both inspection and preparation for sealant. I'm trying to not mar the paint or introduce new swirls or scratches.

Hopefully someone from AG will notice and delete your duplicant entry for you.

Yes, that's what I was saying, many people feel that IPA doesn't have enough lubricity and can cause marring during a wipedown. Those people would suggest a Dawn or APC wash, or the use of one of the dedicated paint prep products as I mentioned before. Myself, I've used both IPA and APC, depends on what I'm washing off or prepping for, and what was on the paint beforehand.

IPA won't always remove the the M105 splatter! There are lots of threads about that. I dont think there is a forsure easy way but someone may chime in with one!:props:

Instead of IPa I tend to reach for Mineral Spirits, has better lubrisity and works well. I just bought CarPro Eraser and will be trying that.
You should remove it before you do the 205 step so the 205 can remove any maring you might install.
Just One of the Big reasons I don't use M105/205 combo unless I have to.

There is nothing that petrifies me more than getting M105 splatter on a freshly compounded and polished panel. The splatter is darn near impossible to get off without doing more harm than good!
