How to remove back plate?

I have a makita polisher and want to switch out backing plates. I don't want to screw up the outside of the makita if I can help it, but there is a black piece of plastic on the side that I think I need to remove to get to a screw that will allow me to change backing plates.
Do I just pry this off with a screw driver or what?

There is a black botton on top of the polisher. Its on the head part and off to the right. Push it in and hold it and rurn the backplate counter clokwise. That should do it. :xyxthumbs:
