So just to be on the safe side, how do you remove bird droppings on a fabric Panel? This is what the client wrote to me in the email this morning.

"Long story short I had some bad luck recently where a bird pooped directly into my car through my open window. Some of it splattered along the cloth area of my driver side door. Tried my best to wash it off but some spots of it are still visible. Read a lot of great reviews about your service and I'm hoping your expertise can finally get rid of the spots"

This was my response

"
Good morning XSorry to hear about your ordeal. What kind of methods have you tried to wash it out with? Have you used any specific cleaners and how long has the bird drop been stained on the fabric seats for? The reason why I am asking the type of cleaner / method you used is because, with the wrong products, the stain might have set. Let me know so I can assist you"
Thanks,
Sam

What kind of techniques and products do you recommend for this sort of job? I have a gist of what to use, but what are your approaches?

Never had this issue before. If I was to try to clean this I would use an APC. Bird droppings are acidic, so a base cleaner should be used. If the APC is not enough, a degreaser would be my second choice. You will have to use a brush to clean that. Your customer probably only used a cloth of some kind. So here would be my steps:

1. Vacuum with crevice tool to remove as much of possible dry.
2. Spray with APC and let dwell for a few seconds.
3. Agitate with toothbrush or other small brush.
4. Spray with water then extract using your water extractor or wet/dry vacuum

If there is still a stain I would do the same steps using a degreaser.

If that fails I would try a stain remover using the same steps.

I doubt the APC will not be able to take care of it. Let us know how it goes.
