Hey guys Ive gotten almost all the swirls out of my car but I have a pinstripe going down the side and I tape that off so I dont rip it off with my pc. but theres about an 1 1/2 - 2 inch space between the pinstripe and window that I can figure out how to buff out. Any ideas? The only 2 things I could think of is use the edge of a 3 inch pad or by hand :help:

I dont have any 105 :( my girl friend is sitting next to me yelling at me for buying so much detailing stuff all the time lol but do you know any stores that sell it? I even stopped by a store that sells auto paint products and the closest thing I could find was 3M heavy rubbing compound.

Pick up some megs uc and a foam polishing hand applicator

I tape off the pinstripes keeping the edge of the tape within 1/4" of the top side of the stripe and then tape off the trim below the windows and have at it with a 3" or 4" pad on a DA or Rotary. Any areas that look likely to be damaged by the machine I go over by hand before running the machine and staying a few inches away from the easily damaged areas.

If the tape isn't damaged by this process, I pull it and take it to the other side of the car and apply it there before repeating the same process on the other side of the car.

Ive got some UC that been my go to compound for a while but now im looking to go up to something a little bit more professional grade like M105 and M205. Thanks for the tips guy!

Thank you I will be checking to see if I can find any in the next few days

I use Poorboys Professional Polish applied by hand for those very situations. It's also good for under door handles, inside gas cover, etc.
