I have a 2009 Honda. Car has never been clayed. After purchase I applied Zaino AIO and Z2 and have continued using Z2 since that time. Since the original purchase of the car I have become aware of claying. I feel it would be best to strip the Z2 so as I'm claying the clear and not the Zaino. I have asked Zaino several times about removing Z2, but never got a relevant answer to my question. As a matter of fact if you ask point plank on how to remove Z2 they will not answer the question-they just say it not necessary and to keep applying more Z2.

Prior to claying should Zaino be removed? If so what product will remove Z2? Zaino tells me you can remove Z2 with Zaino AIO, but what does this accomplish since I now have Zaino AIO on top of the clear instead of Z2.

Thanks for any assistance.

To strip any kind of wax or sealant I use CG Citrus Wash 1oz to every gallon of water, then add about 1-3 oz. of Dawn. Will easily strip Zaino IMO. Then clay after washing.

I've used some pretty harsh detergents and still had beading with Zaino, it is tough stuff to get off. Using a light polish will certainly get it off. I'm surprised they didn't suggest ZPC.

paint cleansing lotions and polishes quickly remove most sealants. Commercial strippers like Prepsol are also available.

I asked Sal about Z2 in the past and he said that claying will remove the Z2. I simply wash with Dawn, then clay, (either wash again or if I'm lazy wipedown with Z6) then start applying the Z2 again.

You make it sound like Zaino is as thick as a layer of paint. It's not. It's a very durable sealant, but just clay the car, I promise, the Zaino will not prevent you from claying off anything that's on the paint.

Just clay, then do your ZAIO again, and start layering the Z2.
