How To: Sonax Polymer Net Shield Paint & Wheels

I do not care for the Sonax foam applicator.

My thought is why not use a towel you use to remove residue that wont scratch the paint? Makes sense to me

Another little tip. If there's some PNS that you missed, the BSD will make it disappear. No streaks.

Yep that is very true. They are a great 1 2 punch for protect and maintenance.

Having been a user of PNS for almost 2 years, I tried the "Evan.J" method and it worked very well for application. Used more product than I would have, but application flew by quickly (was pressed for time anyway). I used a Purple Super Plush to apply; will be watching it over the next 6 months to see how it goes--sans adding any additional BSD to boost.

If longevity is as long as with the foam applicator method, I will be using the towel method exclusively going-forward.

It was pouring on my way to work today. I pulled into the garage and there was almost no water on the hood and the roof had tight beading. I'm very impressed with PNS/BSD combo

Application method should have no affect on the longevity of the product. As long as you applied the PNS in an even manner your should be a ok.

Nice beading picture! :props:

If I use the ONR (Optimum (NRWW2012Q) No Rinse Wash & Wax) as my Quick Detailer instead of the BSD, will decrease the lifetime of the SPN?

Also, how will be the maintenance wash for this sealant? I have in mind using CG Pink with foam gum, and then spray it with the ONR and then dry it with a waffle MF.

Last question, I have a Liquid Glass can and I was wondering if this will have any effect on the sealant since it has a little of petroleum on it.

The ONR should be ok but I can speak to the affect that it may have on PNS.

The Mr Pink should be ok as a soap and again I can't speak to the affect the ONR should have on the PNS. I would assume that there should be no issues.

I have never heard of Liquid glass

Hope I was able to help

I've used Ultima and d156 on my sonax sealed car with no problems

This product still has my attention. Looks like a must have sealant. And with your application method, this look's EASY!

This application method is still my go to for SPNS.

Everyone talks about the grabby feeling of this sealant. With that said, how does that grabbiness affect the removal of bugs from the front end of the vehicle? Do bugs "stick" to the PNS, or are they easy to remove? Does the PNS stand up to bugs, or do bugs remove it? All I've seen mentioned in regards to PNS is beading and sheeting, but nothing about bug removal or how long it lasts when bugs or bird dropping sit on it for a while.

I have it on my side mirrors and front of the hood, bugs wipe off easy and the grabbing is only on application. After that the panel is slick

I have a can on the way right now. I'm curious though. If the application is mostly similar to that of a coating, then why not just use a coating and get better longevity?

For me, I wasn't comfortable going right into a coating. The PNS offers great longevity and is more forgiving.

The application is basically the same as a wax, apply let sit for a sec and remove, but no stress of high stops like that if a coating and then removal with a polish if u mess up
