FIRST STEP
I USE MY SPRAY TANK YO SPRAY DELUTED DEGREASER ON THE WHEELS LOWER PARTS OF THE CAR AND UNDER THE CAR..THIS THING IS MUCH BETTER THAN USING A SPRAY BOTTLE AND CAN GET INTO WHEEL WELLS AND UNDER CAR VERY EASY

WHAT DO YOU THINK? SORRY IF IT WAS BORING AND LONG

Is it me or are the pictures missing? :( Thanks for the write up though but I wanna see what you did to that old wash mitt :p

just wondering if you used the car wash soap full strength in the fill tube..seems like you did and that is a waste of a lot of soap...my foam gun needs just 1/2 to 1 ounce of car soap and i fill the rest of the quart with water and it is enough to foam down the entire car and wash it using the rinse bucket and foam as you wipe method...

The only thing I would change is clean your windows then QD the car. Some of the window cleaner had to of gotten on the paint, especially since you're outside? Either way, nice car, looks a lot like mine.

Scott, glad to hear you made it through the nado. My folks were chilling under the steps with my 90 yr old grandpa. I can only imagine that seen. Anyways, nice looking work.

Man seeing the houses in the background makes me miss FM.

Awesome write up Scott, thanks for taking the time to snap a few pics and write it all up!

I use Megs Gold Class in my "Budget Foam Gun" and fill the reservoir up about half way and can do my entire truck with it. It seems like the "thicker" car shampoos work better. But then again, there are shampoos made for just the foam gun.

PS: that Mustang looks GOOD!!!

But if you clean the windows, then QD the car, then wouldn't there be QD on the windows?

I always clean windows last

Boring...nothing boring about the write up Scott. Looks good to me, I've never used a foam gun so to me it all looks good.

Those are some good pictures, who was taking them?

Thanks for taking the time to share.

looks good !!!! thanks for the write up!!! People browse AG just for tips like this!! Good job Scott, and the mustang looks mean with that black on black combo.

hmmm I might have to pickup a lowes foammaster, i would be interested to see what half water half soap would do it that container......

I've had mine for a few months now and am very pleased with it. The way this one works is that once you turn the knob to "mix", these high pressured jets shoot into the reservoir and mix the soap with the water, thereby creating the foam.

hey guys, thanks for the comment...about the gun..i just added that much for rite now..i didnt know how much i was gonna need so i just filled it up...but you deff only have to fill it about half way...and im not missing any steps...you could clean the wheels with brush and stuff and scrub tires and wheel wells but thats whats takes alot of time and i was doing this as a really short wash...and the degreaser took care of most the stuff..i like to do the windows last just incase there is anything left over from anything...nothing more anouying than having big ugly spot on you window...and i just had the camera on the tripod and timmer...thats why they are all in the same spot :) thanks guys

Your writeup inspired me to wash my car this morning!
it's all nice and clean now

I want to leave work now and go wash my truck!!!

You guys made me go out and buy this Lowe's foam gun!! First impression, well it was well worth the trip and for first time foam maker I'm sold :) I know for $10 I can afford to drop it and get another in no time. Also I believe I'm going to try P1ET's method of washing one panel at a time switching back and forth between rinsing and foaming. If you split your water drop with a Y connection and still could have your pressure washer handy you might be onto something :D

Thanks for the heads up and info scott / P1ET.

i'm gonna go to lowes after work today and buy that foam gun, lol.
what section was it on?

we need to get you a real foam gun, big difference. Nice write up !
