I wanted to post some before and after pictures of a car I did about three months ago, 2010 Maxima.
A good friend of mine bought this car a few months ago, saying it has swirls is an understatement.

The paint felt like sandpaper, I could tell it was ran though one of those automatic paint killers.

Here is how I got it and what I saw.

The pics were all of the hood, the entire car was in this bad of shape.

Maxi-Suds with 2oz of APC
Clayed, it took time
UC, yes I picked it out over my 105 I had to make it easy on me.
205 using a white pad
CG'S EZ Glaze
CG's Super VRT
Griot's Paint Selant
NXT liquid wax
Tool used was my GG6 DA

Job took my about 14 hours, just the exterior.

Now for some after pics.

Here is a video I took once I was done.

Man I was ready to answer your question until I saw the final finish... Was going to tell you pretty damn well!

Thanks guys, my friend couldn't believe her car could ever look this good.
Well that made my weekend:)
She bought it used just about a month before I corrected it, everytime I saw the car I got sad, like no way this car should be trashed.

Looks fantastic! Just to clarify, are we talking about Megs Ultimate Compound or WG Uber Compound here?

Meg's UC is what I used on this car.
I love using it with a CG'S orange Hex Pad.
Great combo:dblthumb2:

Looks great...almost like you hate swirls. How were the wheels and what did you have to use on them to get them clean?

Hate to be the pessimistic here.... but befores were sunshots, afters were non sunshots. Ive seen black finishes out of the sun look AMAZING but in the sun look ridiculous. Not trying to question any skills here, but do you have sun shots to back the before sunshots?!?!?!?

UC does a very nice job. I've even put sealant right on top of it because it finishes so well (unless the customer is paying for the extra polishing step). Great job!

How does this compare to the Wolfgang Twins? Also, compared to M105?

Awesome :dblthumb2:

Really digging the 3-D depth of the cloud reflections/hood shot in the video...sharp, clear, crisp.

hateswirls, you bring up a great point and that is UC is a sleeper product that delivers and being able to find it OTC is a plus. off the top of my head the two OTC megs products that perform beautifully are UC and UQW...

Watch my video, at that time I had some sun , not much but some , I had to return the car.
Trust me if you care too, I removed all of the swirls , if not no problem. :dblthumb2:

I agree with you, it's a sleeper.
In my tool bag I have like three different compounds but often first try UC.
I recommend it to anyone who may ask me what is good to remove defects.
This car was totally thrashed but the results were very good:dblthumb2:

This car proved to me just how good the GG6 really is.

Ive also had great success with UC and in many instances have moved straight to LSP. Great product to have in your arsenal.
