Pictures? I've hired PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) guys to remove parking lot door dings and larger. That's a specialty as complicated as good detailing, so not certain it's DIY.

Ummmm....the only thing that's going to fix that is a visit to a very talented body shop. Looks more like a replacement to me, and certainly cheaper. Really good body shop folks are e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e.

Good god that's messes up. Looks like its bulging out with dings and dents on it....jeez

lol! forgot to mention my budget is really tight at the moment. I think i'll try to fix it myself. it can't get worst than this...~ right? Im the MAN .

Yes it can get worse if you do it yourself. Just saying be careful. And just ignore it until you can afford to properly fix it.

IMO

Looks like some really poor hammer and dolly work. When ever using a pick hammer you need to have patience.

What year and make is the car? What's your budget? Have any dent repair or painting experience?

A PDR guy may be able to help doesn't hurt to ask. The dent behind the door could be fixed. Traditional fix would be to sand the area level the metal as much as possible , fill with bondo keeping it as thin as possible, sand smooth, fill with a glazing putty sand again and spray with primer.

Don't sand the primer until you're ready to paint the panel. If you do this pep work it wil reduce your paint bill.

Was thinking the same thing. Almost like a ball peen and 2X4 work.

To me, 'doing metal' is an art form ( and I'm defiantly NOT an artist, LOL).

An art form is an understatement! A friend at church "does metal". He invited me over for a day lesson. At the end of the day I was very proud of my sheet of metal. He said "The Lord gives each of us gifts, and I think you should stick to finishing paint."

Noted.

I'm guessing the door was dented IN and interfering with the window regulator or some other mechanical motion inside the door. Someone just wanted to make the door mechanically sound.

It looks like you will need a new door skin if you want it to be perfect.

Do not make it worse than it is now. You can make more harm if you do it yourself. Just save some budget and go to a good and professional body shop.

Yup, you can definitely make it worse. A good metal person knows where to strike and release stored energy so the metal returns to it original shape. Metal shaping requires specialized hammers and dollies that aren't cheap. That said, I think a re-skin is in order.
