How would you handle this

Even if the saleman was on vacation he could have passed the sale on to one of his co-workers and split the commission. Call him back, tell him that you went elsewhere for your vehicles after you got no response. If he gets shady with you just tell him that you will let everyone you know what a terrible experience you had with him. Word of mouth travels fast.

I just got done purchasing a new car. When I called the dealership to speak with the salesman, the person answering the phone (administrative assistant) always informed me of his situation if he was not available to take the call (with another customer, out for the day, day off etc.). He always returned my calls when he became available, and just about every other sales person in the place knew who I was and were able to assist me if he wasn't there. Car dealerships live and die by how they treat their customers. I, personally, would pay more for a car if I knew the dealership was going to treat me like a real person.

Paul :buffing:

I stumbled across a site,a while back,called dealerrater.com, if
I remember right, where a person could leave remarks about how
they got treated, both by sales and service. I was really surprised. A very small Ford dealer right up the road from me was talked about so bad in the way their sales people treated folks that I'm surprised somebody hasn't burned the place down.

Back in 2006 when I brought my car, the dealer that I order my car from wouldn't do anything about trading a car to get the color I wanted. I've been waiting for 2 months and they had no clue when the car is going to be here, the allocated one and I spoke with the sale manager and they wouldn't trade that for my car. So I end up terminate my order, they were pissed that I did that. I called another dealership an hour away and they found me a car in 2 weeks and gave me 1k in discount. It is not a very professional to ignore anyone call.

you should let him know only for the fact there is a small chance he won't do it to the next guy

If you call the sales guy back and tell him you bought at another dealer, he's probably just going to hang up on you. Then it will still bug you. Either let it go or call the sales manager or owner.

i am probably gonna go talk to the sales manager tomorrow and end it

HAHAHA this gets better..I am going to stop there today to talk with the sales manager. Well he just called and left me a message. he said that my car arrived a few days ago and Bill has called and left me 4 messages and I havnt returned his call..UMMM h has called me once and left ONE message..this dude continues to lie to his boss

I see you are from the burgh. which dealer is the one to avoid?

Bowser..I dont know if i can say its the whole dealer that sucks...but the Sales guy I am dealing with there is CRAP

its funny..he doesnt ever return my phone calls and blows me off when I stop in about a trade. BUT when i dont return his call after 2days he is crying to his sales manager.

I dont see why you want to call him in the first place. Just pick up your car and leave it at that.

Forget making amends, its just a dealer. Not like it will matter whether or not you talk to the guy.

I dont want to have them now hound me and call me all the time cause of it..if I do this then they will know the deal is over and leave me alone.

Ah okay. If it were me, Id just block the number haha.

I'd drive my new car up to Dealership and tell him to his face.

If it were me, I'd just enjoy my new car and let the whole thing die. Their
not worth your time.

You should write a google review. Every time they are searched on google they will see your story! Boom!
