How would you handle this

I would do the same thing as Trumbo S10 just said.
I always search places on google and look at reviews. If the reviews are bad, I dont go :)

well that was easy..Sales manager was totally cool. He was like I knew there was something odd about this.
I took this printout of me bitching back in feb on a forum
NASIOC - View Single Post - The 2012 WRX/STI Order Thread
I told him I called him a few times and he never got back to me and how I called over a month ago ready to buy my GF car and he never called back. I took both cars to show him I wasnt just saying I was gonna buy 2 cars and not..I explained I tried my hardest to buy a car from them and it just didnt happen. He had no issue giving me my check back for the deposit. So I will say the dealer as a whole isnt bad I just had a lemon of a sales guy

Glad you got your deposit check back. I am in western PA, there are some shady sales guys out here.

this Sales guy is just the biggest liar. He just left me a message saying he was sorry i had a bad experience then tried to go on and say i only called him 1 time.. I called him ATLEAST 6 times. he only returned 1 of my calls. then he goes on and says that my deposit was totally refundable but that is NOT what he told me when i wrote it..my GF was sitting there and he said they are non refundable. I am just glad I am done with it and the manager was very understanding and there was no heated arguments and everything worked out

Its annoying when they pull the blame you business. Good service and support is what led to me buying my 11 Sti, the dealer near me is excellent and have always been. Mastro Subaru helped me every time I went in there for a few weeks leading up to buying the car, I feel like its totally worth making sure it is a good dealer, after my troubles with Acura and Ford, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! How are you liking the Sti?

I know this thread is dead, but I went through a similar situation with 2 Ford dealers (Kenny Ross and Washington Ford) when I was looking for a 2012 Shelby GT500. The dealership closest to me didn’t have what I wanted so I gave all my info and exactly what I wanted. Never called me back, the second dealership had one I probably could have settled for but when I walked in with my family the sales manager in the cage told the salesman not to both with us..?? I ended up finding a dealership on the web 300 miles away that was willing to find the car for me. I ended up saving enough money to justify the plane tickets and still left money in the checking. It just pi$$es you off that some dealership really don’t car about their customers. Worse yet salesman are crying about not making money and when you are there to buy don’t have the professionalism to close the sale and do some simple follow-up. Hopefully the sales manager from the offending dealership you dealt with had some words for the salesman.

Cars are huge expenditures, whether you are writing a check or making payments, it’s a big deal. Being treated with respect, courteously and have good communication with your sales person isn’t too much to ask. Remember he is working for you, you are making his paycheck. You are entitled to vent your frustration with the salesmans actions.

Did you end up getting your cars from Cochran? We bought our Infiniti’s from them and have always been treated exceptionally well.

No Cochran was just as useless..i bought my 2010 GT from Washington ford and I had a good experience there..got a good deal and they gave me good money on my trade..thats the first place I would probably go when i trade this WRX in on a 13 GT..I dont think this WRX is gonna last as I dont like it much.

Hmm Washington Ford was were the Sales manager I think Ken, said don't waste your time with them. Guess I didn't look like a Shelby Buyer to them :xyxthumbs:

Cochran Infiniti treat us like royality, it's almost embarassing.
