How would YOU tackle this interior?

Well as you know I have a steamer, I recently bought a ridgid wd4070.

I was looking into a bissell extractor.. Is it realistic to make due with what I have on hand already???

Not another extractor vs steamer debate, but based on the pictures, is it possible to do great work???

I saw recently on YouTube a guy do this for deep cleaning interior carpet:

generously spray a heavy duty degreaser

Agitate it with a brush.

Wipe with a MF towel

Spray a carpet cleaner I think

Agitate, wipe again

And repeated steps about 3 more times starting with the carpet cleaner step.

After all was done, he then used a wet vac to suck up all the moisture and left over suds.

Anyone else familiar with this type of method?

Can this be just as effective to using an extractor???

Lol, you have obviously not seen my show and shine interior threads. :o

Wet/Dry vac and Steamer is poor man's extractor, and works fantastic.

No that's what's called a backyard detailer, nothing is greater than a extractor with the proper solution for the carpets not a degreaser.

Throw what you have at it, Gretch. Finding out your capabilities with your tools will make you a better and more knowledgable detailer. What may not work for someone is another's gold. Good luck and take care.

Peace,

Agitate dry with a stiff brush to break down crusted on dirt. The. Apply your fabric cleaner. Try a degreaser then agitate aggressively
