Hello Autogeek members!
First picked up a buffer in 1975 working at a bodyshop while in high school. Back then most spot & panel repairs were done in lacquer that required compounding to match the rest of the car. Just sling rooster tails of compound with a rotary, wipe, 3M pink polish then out the door! Sprayed a lot of cars & trucks through the years, wet sanded and buffed (if necessary) with a rotary & wool pads. I've been out of painting/body work for a few years. Now I'm wanting to learn the foam pad polishing systems that wasn't available when I was a (production) painter. I'm working out of the shop that I used to do side work in. Now it's sheetrocked, painted, AC/Heat, with a Race-Deck flooring.
Just bought the DeWalt 849X rotary to replace my worn out B-D rotary. Now I'm looking to stock my shelves with some of the products here at AutoGeek!
Here is my 2000 GMC Sierra I sprayed back in 2005
