Hi. My name is Brandon, and I have a new passion, thanks to your website. I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 (just picked it up a month ago) that came complete with what I found out was the D.I.S.O. It's horrendous, and I didn't want to take it back for them to make worse. That'll have to wait for a bit, as I must 1st fix the wife's 03 Monte Carlo...I decided to borrow a buddy's Makita 9227c, with a wool pad, some unknown compound, 3m Perfect-it machine polish, and a 3m 05738 foam pad...you know, a lil' practice on the wife's car! So I found Autogeek. In the coming days, I'll post some before and after pics, and seek advice on the best way to go (buffer trails installed by yours truly). The Meguiars Gold Class liquid wax has temporarily hid the buffer trails however.

Stay tuned for further info in an actual "help" post. Hopefully someday, I'll be one of you that does the helping :)
 
Welcome. You are in the right place to get info on removing the DISOs. It KILLS me to see holograms because you know the person that installed them knew they were there before giving it to you.

Great question...the forum is rife with abbreviations that cause everyone to be either an "innie" or an "outie" as they used to say in Highschool...diso -- Dealer Induce Swirl Options. It's a great option you often do not even have to tick the box for...costs little, is glady offered by the some guys in the backofthehouse who are in charge of detailing the cars for you the customer to go WOW over. Some tho do know what they are doing...and for those, hats off...they are the good guys.:buffing:

Welcome... born and raised in Ohio. Lived my first half of my life in Medina growing up. I still have a lot of family on the west side and we hit Cedar Point on July 4th. Love Ohio.
