I've been learning and buying from here as well as Chemical Guys for the last 10 or 11 months. I recently started doing car paint touch ups. Like I need another hobby. Not doing whole cars yet, just clear coat repairs which mean painting whatever if facing up and some repainting of panels such as hood, fenders and doors due to some damage. I don't do body work past a little glazing. The painting lead me to paint rehab and protection, you guys. It's a saving grace you guys don't offer free shipping with order of $20 or less.
I love using a spray gun. In the 80's I had a cabinet shop. I built, repaired and refinished furniture. I hooked up with a couple of interior decorators. They would bring me color samples to match or contrast. Can we say automotive lacquers, the colors were infinite. I loved spraying lacquer. The new paint products of today are definitely different but they still require a spray gun.
It's a shame I have a day job. I have had a blast using all the new products and spend way too much money but I'm learning and great having fun. Man I remember hand polishing table tops with oil and pumice. Things have changed.
