I am so proud to present Superior Auto Interiors' NEW 2013 custom-made, 7'x14' Tandem Axle V-Nose Enclosed Trailer!! I have worked so hard over the last 2 years to build this company and this has been something I have been dreaming of since day 1!

The trailer has a 3M Screwless Exterior...when I get some vinyl advertising put on, there won't be any screws or rivets in the way!

Rear ramp and 32" side door with RV style lock AND bar lock for added security.

My FAVORITE part! Custom made cabinets!! On the left hand side is the generator box where my generator will sit and be accessible from the outside! Also pictured here is the LED lighting (as opposed to incandescent).

I got the full electrical package which includes a 60amp breaker box, 2 4' overhead lights, a dome light, a wall switch, 2 electrical sockets (which I had place in the v-nose and one just inside the ramp) and a 25' chord to plug the entire trailer into a house or generator to draw power! You can also see the roof vent which is framed to fit an air conditioner should I ever decide to install one.

This is the generator box where my generator will sit. It has a ventilated, locking door and I am going to create a heat shield for added protection and a slide-out for convenience.

Tongue, 25' power cord, electronic trailer breakaway unit. Also, 24" ATP stoneguard as opposed to the standard 16".

I've been SUPER busy creating computer generated 3D models of what the trailer inside will look like once I am finished customizing it with all of my detailing equipment! I will post these within the next few days!

I am so excited and pick the trailer up in about 5 days!!!

And I suppose, of course, that I should not end this post without asking...what does everybody suggest for maximum protection and shine on the exterior? THANKS FOR LOOKING AND PLEASE COMMENT!!!

White paint on inside walls would make it feel larger inside and reflect light nicely.
Something that's easy to clean.

Looks awesome!!! Have you thought about getting the floor Line-ex'd? This way if there are an spills in side the plywood wont soak it up
 
I'm going to give the floors a couple coats of sealant once I get it home. I'm also going to install some diamond plate on the walls of the v-nose between the upper and lower cabinets.

I agree with the suggestion of brightening up the interior should you decide to do so. Especially since wook naturally darkens over time. However, rather than use white paint you might be better served to use a white wood stain. Five (5) years ago we used white wood stain on wood surrounding an enclosed deck we built and it has been serving us very well where harsh winters abound near Lake Erie's shore. We've actually come to like using the stain (on bare, unpainted wood) better than paint. The stain seems to soak farther into the wood, where paint tends to sit of the surface.

I'm a big fan of brightening it up in order to "feel" larger and it will certainly allow you to see much better inside the unit.
 
What a beautiful Trailer. Do you have a shop or are you Mobile. I was thinking about getting one of those open trailers with everything on it. One problem In some areas like condos or small streets there's no room for my truck and trailer to park, I was wondering how you were going to deal with that if in fact you are Mobile. Jeff

I agree with the suggestion about putting some sort of coating on the floor to protect from spills.

Thanks Jeff! Yes, I am mobile, no shop (yet). I actually have an open utility trailer with my current equipment mounted on it (search my forum name and you will see some other threads about my current trailer).

I have not yet encountered a problem with limited space to the point where I can't take on a job. Often times condos or apartment buildings have a "wash" station the size of several parking spots where I can take the customer's vehicle and work on it with adequate space to park my truck and trailer.

I agree about protecting the floor. If I had a set up like that I'd put an industrial grade vynil flooring down (stapled along the perimeter) that can be replaced, or eliminated, on a whim. It will protect the floor and can be removed at any time should you decide to sell the trailer. A nice clean, unmarred floor would certainly help re-sale value. It'll also be much easier to clean and if it doesn't clean up, replace it easily.

I've been thinking about that as well and I think I'm going to check it out. Something like a black and white checker pattern would be cool.

I also forgot to mention that I had the trailer raised an additional 6" so that I could walk inside it. It is 6'6" as opposed to 6' tall!

You have lots of options. You might be better served to simply get some thin wood sub flooring (it's only about an 1/8th inch thick and the name of if escapes me at the moment) , cut it to fit, tack it down or just lay it down, and then you could actually glue the vynil to that substrate if you wanted. I'd probably only glue the edges and maybe a strip down the center that way it's easy to remove should you need to. The vynil and/or thin plywood could be removed at any time.

I never was much on checkered floors mainly because of the black areas hiding small items that might fall to the floor. However, that type of flooring helps hide wear and tear if that's a concern. So those are some things to consider as well.

I love reflective tape also because it works for its intended purpose. It does have draw backs; rust forming around it's edges, peeling, and removal when painting is needed. I've seen alot of this from being in construction. Of course, detailers take much better care of their equipment. LOL!!!!!

I have several trailers and the best process for all interior surfaces is POLyurethane. As far as a non slip product go to lows or home depot and get some "sandbox sand". After you apply 2-3 coats of POLLY just sprinkle some sand in the high traffic areas and you have a NON SKID surface. Water will just pool up on top and it's and easy cleanup if you spill anything.

This coating will resist spills,odors from migrating into the wall and floor surfaces. If it keeps out foul decomposition odors I am sure our detailing stuff will be easy.....:dblthumb2:
 
nice trailer!

this is what I would do if it were mine.

I would Install some 1/8" Luan on the cieling.....then wrap the walls and ceiling with white VRP( its like laminate)

then I would do the floor in a checkerd board pattern using non-skid VCT ( vinyl composite tile )

then I would would use a rubber 4" base ( black to match the cabinets)

the VRP and VCT are easy to clean......and using white VRP will brighten the interior a lot!

using these products inside would basicly make the inside water proof.....crap happens sometimes and fittings break etc....when having water tanks,pressure washers,in the trailer.

Just my thoughts.......

Is this just to carry auto detailing stuff or do you have some other type of business also? It's a big, really big trailer. I'm just wondering why it is so large? I like to put my truck right next to the car or camper I'm working on. With that giant thing I would not even be able to get close. It's actually as big as some of the campers I detail.

Post some pictures when you get it all set up I would be interested in seeing why you needed so much room. Looks great, good luck.
