You need to move if it’s that hot but I agree with your sentiment. I used a GTechniq coating yesterday in 90+ temps with ridiculous humidity and the wipe off was butter smooth. I think the OP may have waited too long to level but it’s a learning lesson. Every coating has it’s own nuances that you’ve got to learn and now he knows to immediately level if using these coatings again.

Waited too long and applied too heavy would be my guess.

I think my biggest hit was having to work on a white car so I was 100% guessing on the wipe off and application since i couldnt see anything. Humidity definitely had an effect though, I tried my front badge, and went back for an immediate wipe, still had the issue. Had to polish it.

Also, no idea CSL was an instant wipe coating, all the videos I watch to prepare had people waiting to wipe. Shows I need to do even more research.

For what its worth wipe off was easy, not tacky, super smooth.

Alright, Washed the car over the weekend, and its not nearly as bad as I thought. Most areas I cannot find any trace. Only one section on my rear hatch, and only in clouded sunlight. Below is what it looks like under good overhead lighting and clouded diffused sunlight.

I might re do the hood only. I found a streak that was coated over. Its what I get for not coming back the next day and trying to do this tired. Ive got phobic coming, so it should be as simple as a clay, polish, and apply. Doubt it will take more than 30 minutes. The rest of the car is staying as is, except maybe geting Phobic as a top coat. Other cars in my lineup are all getting phobic.

If you’ve got CSL as your base coat I’d do EXOv5 as a top coat. That’s a deadly combo and it’s what’s on my wife’s SUV. Two years old and still beading water like day one.

I did exo on the hood, (its why I know those streaks arent going anywhere unless i polish. I would do that as a topcoat, but I dont have access to a Garage to apply it anytime soon and the bottle I have is opened. I figure I can apply Phobic in the car wash bay easily enough. Its also supposedly outdoor friendly.
