Cat. 4 storm will get closest to land first here on the Treasure Coast of Florida.

Not looking forward to that, loss of power stinks no ac and lights for days and some areas weeks to restore.maybe heading to sarasota till this is done.

This might be weird, but deep down on the inside I can't wait to see the beading on my cars afterwards... as long as no branches or roof tiles smash into them that is.

I have some good friends that are stuck in Exuma in the Bahamas as of last night all was well but have yet to get a update today. It appears to be a very slow moving cell so you know the flooding is going to be out of control on the small islands.

We need a quick 25% off $5 shipping hurricane sale!

Good luck to you all. I grew up along the coast and road out Alicia as a kid.

You gents stay safe.

 @ natewood70

And good idea, Octopiston!

Hope all you guys down in the FL, GA, SC/NC areas stay safe. Just two days ago, it was forecast to ride up the coast and clip me here on the eastern tip of Long Island. Then that completely changed.

Let's hope they are also wrong about the intensity, and that the track stays further east.

We are all thinking about our Southeastern members.

Will be getting calls for shingle roof damage to cars. Easy fast cash.

Riverhead?? No kidding!! I'm 27 miles east of there. Riverhead is the "big city" for us. Lol

Well I made contact with my buddy in the Bahamas. The island of exuma is about where the eye is at now it's approx. 36 miles to the west of the actual island. He said the wind is ripping and it's wet of course. Said it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be and the media as usual hyped it up in his opionion. He is at a sandals resort so he has generator power but it's been cutting in and out as well. If he gets me some pics in the morning I'll post them up as im sure the beach will be wrecked alomg with the poor Palm trees lol
