Hurricane Matthew heading our way!!!

Give me snow up here in the NE any day. Can't imagine living anywhere where you can lose everything including your life because of weather.

Remember this come January when you want to tease us Northerners about 3-8 feet of snow. The cold and snow is NOTHING compared to this.

So I have been in contact with my friend that's in the Bahamas this morning and afternoon. Due to crummy Internet on his end he can't send any pics or videos.

He said the sea surge was not bad at all where they were so that's a large blessing.

The wind claimed many trees, signs, etc... Said damage to the resort was not terrible but it has put a damper on the week of course.

They said the worst part was most all the storm shutters are destroyed along with one seaside restaurant being a total loss. He said one other restaurant that had many windows lost over 75% of the windows and has some water damage of course due to this.

Main issue is the amount of people there and the lack of areas to eat now that are safe. They had one building that possibly shifted on the foundation so it will need major repairs they think. All in all no biggie since everyone on the resort guest and workers are safe and unharmed.

He gets a free week to his liking next year due to the weather making the week a major downer. I think that speaks for the customer service at sandals resorts.

I hope all the floridians stay safe as the storm will have gained 20 mph compared to what they had last night. The eye was 35 miles off the cost where the resort sits they said.

The challenge to wishing a hurricane goes elsewhere ...that just means someone else is in harms way. We are locked down in Broward County and looks like it may hit above us (or come darn close) in Palm Beach to Melbourne currently.

Be safe ...

Updates??

Here in West Palm Beach as of 3:20pm, winds are at 26 mph and getting some of the outer rain bands.

It's good to know that all that emergency management training and experience didn't go to waste.

Thank goodness to the new huge racetrack gas station. All the small operations were out of gas yesterday.my county would of been scrambling for fuel.

The stations here all have at least 6 cars in line at each pump.

Everybody from the east fled west.

Decisions decisions
What to eat first...........?

Cookies? Cake? chips/dip? Donuts?
