Hurricane time once again!

I didn't bother to put my shutters up. It's going to be more rain than flying debris. It's funny though to watch the news where they do the Doppler radar and show you the bands coming in on tv and you look out your window and there they are!:p Technology is amazing. It's getting darker outside. Is it too early to break out the rum and coke?? :p

I agree! I already broke into the "hurricane supplies" last night! lol Have fun surfing, watch out for cops. They were arresting surfers last year.

LOL Ay, I am not looking forward to the rain though. My roof is damaged from Wilma last year. It leaks in a few places. :(

One of our neighbors still has a tarp on the side, and roofers are still working right now lol. Major shortage on commercial supplies (roofing, screens etc). We had about 15 Palm Trees on the property but we just removed the ones behind our wall in the back (along with an Oak Tree), caused our pool to be full of crap before. We have some Palms comming through our decking in the back for design, but pruned them and the ones in the front. We were the only ones to prune them last year and it showed, everyone else had a mess.

Our roof though is solid, was made very well and has some kinda coating under/over that holds it all togther (not the tar). So the last two years we only lost like 2 shingles each time from when our solar panels ripped off. Everyone else even with newer houses loss most of their shingles or a good chunk. Never replaced the solar panels, by the time we had them back up (5 large ones) storm season came and ripped them off again lol. Said f' it last time.
 
My roof is a really good one too! No shingles. But I think all these storms we've had these last couple of years has taken a toll on even good roofs.

Although they keep shifting the damn thing to curve up toward me on the west coast!
 
I hate Hurricanes, usually means I have to work 12hrs on and 12 off.I better get see the GATORS play on opening day. Anyway take care my fellow Florida peeps. Oh Miss FL Native better fix me a Double..:righton:

Bags, r you going to the game? If not, it's PPV!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad: Pissed me off every year when they have PPV for the first two games! I have a local pub/bar/eatery that purchases them every year so that's where I'm heading! Where are you located?

I am just outside of central FL. My Dad has had season tickets since1970. I have to work every other weekend so I can only catch a few games a season but I always make it to the first one. This year should be a good one....but I am not going to HJ this tread. Yall stay safe. TY FL Naative

Ernesto appears to have fizzled out ... guess he had one to many Mohito's in the mountains of Cuba. Just think ...we are just starting the hurricane season and I believe today is the anniversary of Katrina.

Don't worry about me. I've got 2 bottles. ;) Ernesto is a total lazoid!! I am enjoying myself watching the reporters on the news trying to make a story out of it! They're like, "here's some video we shot earlier of the wind blowing. And over here is a surfer in the ocean. And look, my rain slicker is getting wet!" LOL too friggin funny!

My favorite is Max Mayfield though! I love that guy! He reminds me of Boomhauser from King of the Hill the way he talks! lol
 
Well that was a weird tropical storm, only got some wind and barely any rain more of a constant drizzle. Looks like we might get some stronger bands though comming around later on. Hopefully this is all we see this season *knocks on wood*.
