Just when i thought my detailing season was over in Chicago, i received a call from the owner of a very successful Downtown-based fishing charter, he wanted to prep his newest boat for winter storage and learn the basics in detailing.
Because the boat is already in a heated storage surrounded by plenty of other boats, the lighting wasn't as sufficient as i hoped for the pictures didn't come out as well as i hoped for, but you could still really tell the difference.
It took a total of 12 hours-two man job in a span of 2 days due to the harbors limited hours.
The boat was washed with ONR, clayed, and Marine 31 products were used as it is a gel-coat based paint.
Onto the pictures;
Both Saturday and Sunday were beautiful, but cold days in Chicago!
Saturday

Sunday

The boat in water

I went on the charter 2 years in a row and this was our catch of the day! 25 fish in a span of 5 hours. I'm the one in the middle

Very little room to work with!!!

A lot of boats in storage!

Products and tools of choice!

GG6

PC7424XP

Pads used were White, Orange, Pink and Yellow (for heavy oxidation spots)

Some calcium build up and hard water spots

And after

The boat owner learning the PC7424

Very good reflections were achieved in the end

After all was done we put a cover on it to protect it for the rest of the season

Big thanks for member A G Thang for letting me use his GG6!
Thank You for looking!
