Hydro pads vs cobra pads

I like the HT pads and use them often. They cut well while finishing down really nice. Choices are simple....only 3 colors. They work really good with diminishing abrasive polishes. Only downfall to them is that they do not last as long as standard pads but the results are worth it.
 
I'm a big fan of the hydro pads, specifically the tangerine ones. They are by far some of my favorite LC pads.
 
I definitely have a new favorite...thats the tangerine HT pads! I'm having some hands on lessons between DATs and SMATs. I'm seeing that DATs are better for my soft paint, and paired with the HT pad its an amazing combination! I can't wait until I'm done.
 
The hydro pads are also my favorite. I dont like the ccs pads at all. My go to pad has been made by buff and shine. I wish ag would carry them. They are such a great pad and finish down really well.
 
Couldnt' agree more! All the effort to reduce heat and friction, and to make pads more user friendly has taken away from some surface area and bite of the pads.

HT pads, B&S flat, LC flat, all work great! Cobras were nothing special. The CCS are horrible in my opinion. Gave away all my CCS pads. The orange CCS pad was the worse for some reason.

Anyone using HT pads experience the middle of the pad sinking in creating a shallow bowl appearance? Can I still use the pad? I'll try to take a pic of it.
 
from my reading about the HT pads is that the polish can build up in the center, which creates more heat in center which can deform the pads, notice how most burned pads on a DA polisher shows the burned area in the center, if i can recall correctly DA polishers tend to have the liquid go towards the center unlike a rotary where it goes out to the side....i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong. im guessing center of pad is getting too hot and deforming the pad, if it lays flat and the pores of the foam look the same should be fine( i inspect mine with a 60x magnifier to see if there clean enough after cleaning and its neat to look at)
