I’m debating if I made the right choice joining the AGO forum and store. I’ve now found myself becoming more educated than I expected, and seeing more crap on the wife’s car than I did before. I’m also looking at the AGO store like it’s F’in Christmas every week; and I’ve only been here approximately two weeks. Two months from my I’m gonna be kicked out of the house living in my shiny ass car. 😂

Welcome

What kind of cars do you have?

The wife owns a 2018 Subaru Forester (Black...sigh)

I just purchased a 2021 4 Runner (White...whew)

Wait until the wife sees all of your products lined up after a few months and proclaims: "You have more damn detailing products than the aisle in AutoZone!!".

Mine did............:laughing::laughing:

Too Funny and I know what you mean.

Reminds me of one time a friend of mine hired me to do some remodeling of his newly purchased (pre-existing) home. A couple months into the project he told me "hiring you is the biggest mistake I've made with this house". I gave him a puzzled look. He continued, "Everyone else's work looks like sh!t now".

I think you’ve got it all figured out and you should take the knowledge you have gleaned so far and then permanently delete this URL.

Wouldn’t be as fun but I’d have thousands of more dollars in my pocket and a lot more space in the garage. :)

Wife sold her 2015(?) 4Runner to get a Boxster. The Boxster is great. I miss that 4Runner. A little underpowered, but otherwise a very nice do-everything SUV. When my Rover LR3 dies my short list is Tesla or other EV and 4Runner. Guessing 1-4 more years for that to happen.

I already see the need for some additional cabinets/shelves just for my current and future investments from here. :laughing:

The 4Runner is great, agreed on the fact its a bit underpowered. They’ve also manipulated the pedal response far too much to likely help on gas mileage but also those who four wheel it and have little experience using the gas and brake pedal or in general too heavy of a foot. Nonetheless i bought it for reliability, and off-road ability. Traded in my Jeep for it. Fiat is running that brand in the ground year by year.

It’s funny how hard it is to order something new. I’ve got a half gallon of shine supply clutch along with a ton of other sio2 things yet i still seem to have a bunch in my cart i have to talk my self out off.

The Clutch is great stuff too.... just well.... you guys know.

I,ve literally had a g8 in my cart 3 times... I have a year old Adam’s swirl killer mini that has been great but that itch....

This is how it starts.... Welcome to the board.

Good days when I'd take the car through a tunnel wash and not see all the swirls that were being added. Like psnt1ol said above, ignorance is bliss. Once you realize the finish on the car can be much better, you're ruined and now will suffer taking care of cars the rest of your life. I walk around noticing defects on everyone's cars and I always worry that others are judging mine too. I think I literally take more care of my car scared that someone will point out a flaw than to simply enjoy how nice it looks.

Thankfully I knew the difference between a squirrel and a swirl before I joined. I've been around (detailing forums) since Mike Phillips was with Meguiars posting on the Meguiars Online (MOL) board. Above average paint finishes ever since.
