I am looking for a company to buy large amounts of product....

I do this now, but it doesn't have a PRO feel to it. I want to do it to where I can make money and eventually have my own product. Gotta build a following somehow. It may take years but its my goal.

Really glad you are looking to step outside the box, it's people like you who get ahead and move to the next level.
Good job for looking for new ways to make your business stand out from the others! :props::props::props:

Read my next post! I just MENT for him to put an identifying sticker on it and clarified it in my next post! NOT RE-LABLE IT!

Nope...that won't work either!!

These car care products already have an "identifying sticker".
Don't think for a minute that they're going to share.

Like I said before to the OP...

Think this through man!!

Back to the OP:

I am looking for a company that I can buy large amounts of detailing products, mainly a final touch or a waterless wash product that I can put my company logo on and sell to clients with a microfiber towel to use in between details or washes in the event of bird droppings, gas spills or any other similar situations. I think it will be a great way to make some extra cash and at the same time I can get my clients to be more involved (Wishful thinking) in keeping their vehicles kept in good condition. And at the same time I can keep my company name in front of them.

I'm not trying to sell anyone the NEXT GREAT PRODUCT, just something that they can keep in the car in the event of a minor need for a clean up. It would really just be something in the car with my phone number, web address, and logo. But at the same time I can educate on the need to remove things like bird droppings right away and they can use my (Re-labeled) products and a microfiber with my logo on it.

@OP: Besides a re-labeling venture...How about an idea for another "money down the toilet" proposition...
Why not just give your customers a brochure explaining:

"How To Care For Your Vehicle Between "Detailing"-Appointments...So I Won't Have To Do Maintenance Washes/Minor Clean-ups"

Just thinking out loud!!!...as it were.

That's like saying a Chevy dealer can't put his owm badge on a Chevy. Tons do it and I don't see them in court?
How about the Hvac guy who puts his sticker on your furnace?, hell Home Depot put their sticker on my John Deere, maybe I should call in the FBI?

IMHO if you buy the product you own it. After that you can stick or write anything you want on it and do as you please. You are not saying it's your product, and any smart manufacturer will just be happy you are buying their product, if they spend even 2 seconds thinking about it at all. Actually, they should be paying you, as you are promoting their product by introducing it to a consumer and opening the door to future sales. I just couldn't really see any manufacturer waisting their time bothering you.

I have a re-label on a lot of the products I use in my shop. The formulator will call it whatever I want it to be called, print (Distributed by) Tuscarora Dave's Mobile Auto Detailing (Etters PA, and my Ph.number) on the bottles and they even send me MSDS forms with Tuscarora Dave's Printed on them. They charged me a one time $90 setup fee and the labels are saved on their computer system. Any time I order cases of stuff from them it comes to me with the TDMAD labels.

I don't re sell the stuff but it makes my detailing operation look pretty impressive. I won't mention the formulators name here on this forum, or mention any other products available through them that are known in the market either.

hell Home Depot put their sticker on my John Deere

What?!?! I can't believe you bought your John Deere from Home depot!!!

Anyway...

I thought the deal between John Deere and places like Home Depot meant that, among other issues:

-A local John Deere dealer inspected each implement and put their John Deere dealer's sticker on it for the purchaser's future reference when needed for service/repair/breakdowns

-The big box stores and John Deere play some interesting games with the specifications to trick the average Joe.
Example: A larger HP motor and cheaper price must mean he’s getting a better deal. The reality is the bigger HP motor isn’t as nice as the smaller HP motor in machines sold at John Deere dealers.

-The rest of the machine is nowhere as good of quality (plastic parts, thinner metal frames, etc).

-You get what you pay for

- If something seems too good to be true, it usually is!

- Don’t blame the John Deere repair man for the expensive, frequent repairs if you choose the cheaper model.

The blame goes to John Deere and the big box stores for reducing their quality to make a sale.
However, I understand that the market place is a tough place to survive.

OOPS!...Sorry for the hi-jack OP.

90% of what you give out probally never gets used. I know hardly any of my customers would ever dream of trying to clean their own cars

That's been my experience too, but it doesn't hurt to have a tub of wax sitting on their shelf or sold at their yard sale with my business name on the lid. :xyxthumbs:

I came up with a saying along time ago. Maybe you've heard it?

'It takes money to make money'

Keep us posted what the cost will be

:)
Good one Flash. I am going write on my calender right next to "A penny saved is a penny earned."

I like that! Mind if I make it my own?

I leave you with somemore of my wise words

if you are giving the product away then you can put whatever label you want on the bottle. the real issue comes in when you are trying to sell the product. even if you leave the companies logo on and put something of yours on the bottle as well then that is stating you have some sort of sales relationship with the company.

easy route is to just contact the companies and let them tell you sure we will private label it for you just buy many many hundreds of products, sure you can private label it yourself but you handle the labeling or screw off.

well said.

If your not selling the product you can name it whatever you want.

I know they won't use it. But if you pay me $300+ to detai your car, you'd spend an extra $20 - $30 for some product to keep it up. If they use??? That's another conversation.

This ^^^ is the sole reason for doing it! And if I can turn a few dollars profit on 9 - 15 cars per day. $5.00 per car at 10 cars per day 6 days per week. Not a bad way to add on to an already successful business.

Legally, you cannot do this. If you misrepresent the product with your own label, you can and will be sued. Even if you give it away.

I would like to give away honda cars and put a big arack symbol on them, but if I did, I would be sued. The product is protected under the law.

Private labeling would be the way to go, if you can do it cost effectively.

did you guys know that i invented the question mark?!

yep...that was me.

OP, you have PM.

I don't want to put a sticker over anyone's product. I want to have my own product without having to have my own product. I want to buy lager drums of someones product and put it into my own bottles and have my logos on it with that companies permission of course.

You have a pm that will help you out tremendously.

Because I know it will work. I've already sold some. Just not making any money because I'm not getting product at a good deal. And for some reason it doesn't work. I will be a great add on for people who buy gift certificates. People always feel weird about just giving a gift cert by itself.
