OK. the rains are finally here in Kolkata, India. I have to do something about it next weekend. I have put together the following items from Autogeek. I must mention that most of these products are not available in India so it is a bit of a problem to source them. So I cannot be as flexible as many of you out there. Hopefully, there will be some dealers for these products soon in this country. Autogeek :help:. Let me know if this is a good complement and some views on item 5.

1. Wolfgang clay & clay lube. Can I dilute the lube 1:1 with water to make it go longer. Or even 2:1?
2. WG Paintwork polish enhancer
3. WG Deep Gloss paint Sealant
4. WG Instant Detail Spritz for the in between periods
5. Pinnacle Signature Series II wax, if the shine appears too plasticky. Or may be use it anyway ? I also have Collinite # 845 liquid insulator wax. Will this be more durable given the weather. Will there be any bonding issue with item 3? - advice please.

BTW, the car is a Palladium Silver Mercedes E250. The paint is not dark. But deep metallic with tiny flecks of silver. So depth (ironically wet) looks very cool. I am looking for more protection than shine given the monsoon.

Regards

Looks like a good start to me, just make sure you have some good quality microfiber towels to go with it all.

Looks good to me. Since cost seems to be a bit of an issue with the clay and clay lubricant, I would go with Meguiar's blue clay and Meguiar's Last Touch as a clay lube. The clay is the same price as the Wolfgang clay - 200 gram bar for $29.99. Last Touch is sold as a gallon for $18.99. You can use it either straight for a quick detailer or dilute it 1:1 for claying. Those are Meguiar's official recommendations for use of the product, btw. So if you were using it strictly for claying, that would give you 2 gallons of clay lubricant for less than 20 dollars. I have two secondary bottles - one for LT at a 1:1 ratio and one for LT straight for quick detailing. You can get the secondary bottles here. Hope this helps! :xyxthumbs:

:iagree:But because of the shipping cost, you could just use car soap for your clay lube. I would also skip the Souveran wax for now. Do the Wolfy sealant and 12 hrs latter top it with 845. After the rains you can use the Souveran as a beauty wax.

Wow I'm surprised nobody told him to get ONR instead of plunging for the Wolfgang duo. If I were you I'd pick up some Optimum no rinse (16 oz or 8oz even) with the DP Universal clay bar. You'd be saving some money, and be getting more product (assuming you don't need the microfiber). The rest of your order seems good though, but the Collinite will definitely be more durable than the Pinnacle, and you won't have any "Plasticy look" issues with the Wolfgang Sealant. If you're dead set on purchasing Wolfgang I also suggest clicking these links.

Oh Drat JonM. :cry:The ONR is the product for me. I am not really hung up on Wolfgang, The items I listed are banked in my cupboard. I have looked at Klasse (AIO and Glaze) as well before buying. both are favorites in Merc forums. The glaze had a few comments about being difficult to apply by hand. The WG clay kit was on sale with a nice MF polishing towel thrown in. You are right, I could have saved a few bucks and shelf space. The ONR seems awesome. Is it that versatile? Must be a very strong concentrate. Very reasonable price. What I really like is very little water (is wasted). I will certainly get the 32 oz bottle next time one of my mates head back this way. Pls let me know if the ONR wash take off the sealant put earlier?

And guys thanks for your insight. I don't think I am too much off track other than the ONR. BTW I do not use electric polishers - any caveats due to this ?

Regards
