I am so mad!

Mike,
thanks for the link. I will definitely look into it. I am trying to get the contact info for the recruiter to see if I can fill in if somebody doesn't show up.

Nick, they wanted somebody that had no experience so they could train them to think the way they wanted things done.

That's weird.. I don't know of one company that runs things like another or use the same machines. In theory, the more experience you have, the less training they have to do.

I wouldn't work for that company anyways. To much experience, to little.. hmm.. they might as well hire a HS student. You can mold them into a million things.

Good luck which ever way you choose to go!

Thanks ya'll. I am starting to cool down. I think the lack of sleep didn't help at all either. I guess I might have to consider plan B, Law school.

What ever you do Lone_Star don't become a blood sucking lawyer. Keep your respect.

I actually if I do go to Law school will work with patents, trademarks and copyrights. It is pretty interesting stuff, when you go into details of a patent. I am a blue collar guy myself, so I would actualy like to help the little inventor with no money protect his product. Who knows, I just want to find a good job.

Gary what do you do, if I can ask?

I write Financial Computer Software. My first job after I got my MBA from Michigan was as the comptroller for one of the largest Mechanical Contractor's in the country out of Detroit. The company recruited me when I was still in school. I had multiple job offers in school but this company offered me the most money and a chance to be the CFO of a large company right out of college. The company did a lot of work for the Auto Industry like robotics, paint systems, mechcanical work for their plants and buildings. They also did a lot of hospitals, office buildings, buildings for a lot of major universities, waste water treatment plants. They basically do a lot of industrial and commercial mechanical work for new construction. I left there because I wanted to move to Florida and I was working way to many hours. Now I just have a few select clients I write software for and I try to enjoy my life.

Sorry I was being nosey. Hey, we are alum though. I just graduated from Michigan. Small world. Sounds like it was a very nice proposition for you coming right out of school. I think what hurt me in auto, besides the obvious, is that I went to school down in Texas were everything was defense industry.

Go Blue! Michigan's economy is not to good right now. Hang in there and stay positive and you will get the job you want. My first job out of college was a great job. I learned a lot and they paid me very well. I still have a lot of friends at the company. I have to go up to Michigan on business sometime next month. I hope the weather warms up.

I hope so as well. I am freezing today. When I went to start my truck today, it just laughed at me. My breath foze to the stearing wheel into crystals. Thats cold, o yeah GO BLUE! :righton:

I got an Interview

Well I was preselected for an Interview for this Friday. Wow, I am so excited, I couldn't sleep last night. Now if it could warm up so I could detail, this would be the perfect week.

Good luck on your interview Lone_Star. I hope you land the job.

Thanks Gary. The job is in Arizona, so I could actually get to use my new toys and start detailing.
